Setting thresholds.
Global, per-variant, and per-location low-stock thresholds - what each one does and which plans include them.
The global threshold
The simplest setup is a single shop-wide low-stock threshold, available on every plan. StockAlert alerts you whenever any variant's available stock drops to or below that one number. It is predictable and takes seconds to set - this is the default in Classic Mode.
Per-variant thresholds
Per-variant thresholds let you set a different warning level for each variant, so a fast-selling item can be flagged at a higher number than something that moves slowly. They are available from the Starter plan up; the free plan uses the single global threshold.
You can set overrides one at a time in Settings, or import them in bulk from a CSV on the bulk-thresholds screen.
Per-location thresholds
If you sell across multiple locations on a higher plan, you can set a different threshold per location and choose whether alerts arrive as one combined email or separately per location. See the multi-location alerts article for which plans cover how many locations.
