what stockalert does.
StockAlert watches your Shopify catalog and tells you before items run out, instead of after. It checks stock against thresholds you control and sends alerts by email and Slack.
※ Two ways to track
Classic Mode
A single shop-wide low-stock threshold. StockAlert alerts you whenever any variant's available stock drops to or below that number. Simple and predictable. Available on every plan.
Smart Mode
Per-variant thresholds computed from each variant's real sales velocity, so fast movers get flagged earlier than slow ones. It forecasts when a variant will run out based on lead time and safety-stock buffers you set. Available on higher plans.

※ How an alert happens

Stock changes
A sale, a refund, or a manual edit changes a variant's available quantity. StockAlert sees the update through Shopify webhooks.

Threshold check
StockAlert compares the new level against that variant's threshold (your shop-wide number in Classic, or the velocity-based number in Smart).

Alert fires
If the level is at or below the threshold, StockAlert sends an alert to your configured channels - immediately, or batched into a digest, depending on your schedule.

You decide which channels carry your alerts and how often they arrive.
Email
Low-stock alerts and digests are delivered to the notification addresses you set. Higher plans support multiple recipients.
Slack
Route the same alerts to a Slack channel so the whole team sees them.
Schedules
Choose instant alerts (the moment stock drops), a once-a-day digest of every low item, or a weekly summary. Instant and weekly are on paid plans; the daily digest is available on every plan.

Not-restocked alerts
Get told when an out-of-stock variant has not been replenished after a number of days (higher plans).
Multi-location
Track stock per location and route alerts accordingly (higher plans).
Bulk setup by CSV
Import per-SKU thresholds in one go from a spreadsheet - the same screen used to migrate from Stocky.
Restock action
Trigger an inventory update from inside StockAlert when you restock, so your counts stay in sync.
